BOOK REVIEW|| U N S T O P P A B L E

Author|| Christine Caine

Genre|| Christian, Non-Fiction

How I came about the book

A wonderful sister-girl from The Fabulous Sistership Academy (TFSA) put together by our amazing mentor, Coach E, shared a library of e-books in the group and this happened to be one of them.

I so much enjoyed reading it that I recommended it in my small group bible study and we took time to read it together.

Expectations
Tbh, I didn’t  know what to expect the first time I read this book. I assumed it was like any other good christian book I’d come across. How wrong I was. This book was much more. I look forward to reading it again in the near future.

Observations

It was an easy book for me to read. I love good stories.  Many vivid stories were weaved into the chapters of the book, and I practically related with every given scenario.

Lessons

Wow. Where do I even start from? Let me just share a few of the insights:

God has plucked you out of eternity, positioned you in time, and given you gifts and talents to serve him in this generation. Your race is now. This is your time in history. You’ve been handed the baton of faith and entrusted to carry it forward as you run your part in God’s divine relay.

In the divine relay, every believer is called to run, and the only spectators are those already in heaven’s grand stand.

Ready is a tricky word when it comes to following Jesus and doing his will. Because there is a huge difference between feeling ready and actually being ready.

When God calls us and sends us, we are ready whether we feel like we are or not.

If you want to know your part in bringing light and hope and healing into this fractured world, do something. Do anything. But don’t just stand there.

Find a need that needs filling and fill it. Find others who are running and run with them. Ask God to move your heart and open your eyes to other runners who might hand off batons to you.

When we offer our “not enough” to God he will multiply it into his “more than enough.”

Most God given dreams take longer than we think to realize, cost more than we ever thought we’d have to pay, and are far more painful to birth than we ever imagined.

Together we reflect more of God than any of us can do alone.

We are only unstoppable because Christ in us is unstoppable

Challenges
I won’t call it a challenge per se, but the book is not one to be read at a glance or while you are distracted.
It requires that you set some quality time apart to read, and reflect on the lessons from the book.

Who should read the book?
Any purpose-minded believer who wants to play their part in this relay race called Life.

Conclusion
This is a CALL-TO-ACTION book. It has helped me to understand that God doesn’t waste any season/relationship (whether good or bad) in my life, and that every phase I pass through is in preparation for another.

Recommendations
I’m recommending this book for young believers and anyone who wants to DO PURPOSE.

Did you enjoy this book review?
