DAY 18- What do you see?

Welcome back.

I woke up this morning to read this beautiful passage in the Scriptures that set my day in motion.

WORD!

I know the importance of good eyesight because I’m MYOPIC and have to wear eyeglasses. Anytime I put them off, my distant-vision becomes blurred.

Having the ability to see clearly is one of the greatest gifts a man can possess. But more than that is the ability to see with the MIND. This is what births our perspectives, attitudes and ultimately actions.

There are 3 aspects to seeing with the Mind and not everyone makes the most use of them:

  • Foresight: the ability to see what’s AHEAD. A Person with this kind of vision has the advantage of knowing what the future holds and makes concrete plans towards it. It’s just like what a farmer sees when he sows a few seeds of corn. In his mind’s eye he can already picture the harvest. When one is gifted with Foresight, he or she would go far in Life.
  • Insight: the ability to see what’s WITHIN. This often comes with Inspiration. A Person with this vision sees beyond the ordinary. It’s one of the advantages we believers have. The spirit of God in us gives us insight into deep things. It’s often called REVELATION. Insight is what awakens a man’s potentials.
  • Hindsight: the ability to see what’s BEHIND. Not many People look closely into past events of their lives. The idea is not to allow these thoughts dominate us but to see what lessons we can put into use. A man gifted with hindsight can be strategic and deliberate with his actions because he knows what the outcome would be.

Practically speaking, it’s BEST when these three work together. As individuals we can develop and train our minds to SEE beyond our  physical sight. There’s a quote I came across in my secondary school days: YOU CAN’T FEATURE IN A FUTURE YOU DON’T PICTURE (Anon).

This just means that our reality is limited by what we see. A man who sees Abundance will experience Abundance. The same is the case for a man who sees Lack. A man’s Expectations will produce Manifestations.

According to ALVIN DAY’S Book: IF CATERPILLARS CAN FLY SO CAN I, Vision is one of the 7 Universal Laws. What you see can either work FOR or AGAINST You.

So Folks, begin to PICTURE the Reality you want. Remember that your Vision is shaped by your Thoughts, your Thoughts are a reflection of what you feed your MIND with. Garbage IN is Garbage OUT.

WHEN YOU FEED RIGHT, YOU’LL THINK RIGHT

WHEN YOU THINK RIGHT, YOU’LL SEE RIGHT

WHEN YOU SEE RIGHT, YOU’LL SPEAK RIGHT

WHEN YOU SPEAK RIGHT, YOU’LL ACT RIGHT

WHEN YOU ACT RIGHT, YOU’LL LIVE RIGHT.

– Requine.

Because it takes FAITH to SEE what others don’t see, we have to feed our minds continuously with God’s Word. Faith cometh by hearing…the word of God.

For me, the FUTURE as I see it is filled with God’s unending Goodness. It’s his grace that has brought me thus far, the same grace will see me through the rest of my life.

Tell me, what do you SEE?

Thanks for reading!
