DAY 3- Where the rains don’t stop.

Welcome back.

I hope you’ve been blessed so far, I appreciate all the support & feedback…it’s a long way to the finishing line and many challenges will come but TOGETHER WE CAN.

So I woke up this morning to the sound of rain. However, it wasn’t the wishy-washy kind, by that I mean the type that stops before you blink your eyes twice. This was an authentic rain, the type that tempts you to remain indoors all day, culled under a warm, thick blanket, with a cup of hot cocoa in hand, an interesting novel to read, and some soft music playing in the background…Well, I knew that wasn’t going to happen so I dragged myself off the bed and got ready for work.

In my mind I told the rain: You’re not being considerate…why today? (and not on Saturday), why this time? (and not in the Evening), ofcourse the rain didn’t answer.

I thought about it some more, the rain is a good excuse to take a break, laze around, cancel appointments and go easy on life. One can’t be too hard on the rain, afterall it’s a natural phenomenon.

But I live on the fair and blessed isle of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, WHERE THE RAINS DON’T STOP, BUT LIFE GOES ON. People here don’t seem to care much about the rain, it falls so often that everyone goes out prepared with an umbrella or raincoat. There’s no waiting or loitering, it’s business as usual.

I admire this Vincy attitude, it leads to the bigger picture about Life. We can’t always wait for conditions to be perfect before we launch out. We need to learn how to dance in the rain and sing through the storm. We should stop giving excuses where performance is expected.

COURAGE is the platform. FAITH is a requirement. DETERMINATION is key.

Stop waiting for the rain to Stop.

Go out and make a difference.

Yes, You can.

Thanks for reading.
